COMPLEX BUILDINGS
Headquarters & High-rise
Connect the programme, arrival experience, shared amenities and technical interfaces of a complex development.

Organise the vertical programme
A headquarters across several floors needs a clear allocation of public arrival, team work, shared meetings, executive hospitality and support facilities. The same function does not need to be repeated on every floor. Identify where centralised amenities help and where local provision is more practical. Agree the programme against the client’s organisation and the actual building information.
Connect floors and communities
Inter-floor movement should be discussed with the client, landlord and appointed building professionals. Shared stairs or lounges may support exchange, but structural, fire and access requirements determine which connections are possible. The spatial goal is a coherent workplace journey, with clear security and visitor boundaries. Visual references help explore character; they cannot establish the feasibility of an alteration.
Brief the technical interfaces
Record the core, lease boundary, façade, floor-to-floor heights, ceiling zones and existing service capacities. Allocate responsibility for IT, audiovisual systems, acoustic design and specialist engineering. A cost and programme review should accompany major design choices. The resulting appointment can then distinguish interior decisions from statutory and base-building responsibilities.
